I was caught by surprise watching Neil Cavuto off and on, when an interview with Phil Robertson began. If you are familiar with this Duck Dynasty star, he doesn’t care much for public opinion. Rather, he’s concerned with truth, right, love of God, love of neighbor, love of Country. That’s the way the interview went. That’s what the book is all about. It completes the interview! Philosopher Peter Kreeft, in "Because God is Real" tells us, “Reason is the eye of the mind. Faith is the eye of the heart. The heart is at the center of the soul. All three can make mistakes. But when they do not make mistakes, when they know the truth, they do not contradict each other. Truths known by one method, or eye, cannot contradict truths known by another method, or eye. For truth can never contradict truth.†This seems to be what Robertson has going for him. He is in touch with truth. Acclaiming himself as a multimillionaire, he sees this as less important than speaking and proclaiming the truth, rather than cave to public opinion. Phil makes a compelling point: Without God, America has no hope for the future. It's not a popular opinion and those that proclaim it are subject to all sort of ridicule, but Jesus said they hated me, they'll hate you, too. The book is easy to read and the message is unmistakable: Without God, each of us as individuals have no hope for the future. Only God can heal our hearts.
I’m not a person that can read anything . It really has to strike my interest . Not only did I read this book in 1 day it answered questions that I ask myself about America daily . I sincerely hope this book touches a mass of people. Great read if you want to truly know what’s wrong with America and how to fix it .
I have no idea why Fox Business had him on for at least a 10 minute interview, which is very unusual for any one on one interview. The interview only touched upon "business", and 99% of the time was this guy "preaching" on TV. When he said, and I quote, "No, Donald Trump does not lie" I had to laugh out loud. Nothing wrong with being religious, and nothing wrong with trying to sell a book, but anyone who thinks the president does not lie is not dealing in reality
Phil is the real deal, Seen him preach a few times and met the man once. Nothing he has ever said was not in the best interest of those listening. At 72 years of age and more money than he will ever spend, why would he subject himself to persecution and ridicule.? The answer is simple, He know Jesus was truly the son of God. He knows that those who open their hearts can be changed. He follows the first and second commandments, Love your God and love your neighbor.Buy the book get a blessing.
