This series is amazing and “Crusader One, Book 3†raises the bar even more! Definitely read this series in order, and I now question whether this book could be fully appreciated without reading books 1 and 2 first. Same characters are back, with John Dempsey being the star of the show! Former Navy SEAL, Dempsey now works with Ember, an off-the-grid black ops counterterrorism unit. Kelsey Jarvis runs the unit. The team includes Shane, Grimes, Wang, and Adams; they are determined to find the last of the “a—holes†who killed their friends, the Persian, Behrouz Rostami.What makes a warrior like Dempsey? “It isn’t the desire to win—it is the refusal to lose.†So much happens in Book 3, you will not be able to put it down! This storyline is detailed and complex with emotional interactions, lots of suspense and action, missions, and surprises! The military equipment may have confused this non-military “girl†😉, but oh my, this is an awesome and entertaining read!
Wow, this book delivers from the first page and takes you on a riveting roller-coaster ride of excitement, suspense and espionage. You will be staying up late at night because you won't be able to put this down. Sure, the action is over the top but it is so much fun! The topic, Iran's possible nuclear warheads and terrorist groups; so very much on our minds today. And the book takes lots of twists and turns on the way to dealing with the threats to our security and lives. One tip: I was not sure what all the military acronyms and initials stood for and I did not realize at first that there is a glossary of terms at the end, so that helps. The characters are all seasoned and gritty and it is nice to see older black-ops folks still kicking butt in the Middle East and using many high tech devices and techniques. I received a review copy through a Goodreads giveaway and I am so glad I did. I do not normally go for the espionage thriller genre but this book is really worth the read!
Great storytellers. Have read 3 of the series. If you are looking for a serious peek at the real life of an operator, seal, etc. this is a really good series. Having read quite a few of this more serious type of "operator" fiction and being female, don't be put off by the jargon and some of the weaponry. You will easily get into the characters and be able to envision the scene because of the meticulous detail provided by the authors. Fiction or not, these military, undercover, seal, ops, etc. all deserve our gratitude.
This series is written extremely well making these books page turners that are hard to put down. I have read all 4 of the series to date and wish the 5th was ready to go. Kudos to Brian Andrews and Jeffrey Wilson. Keep up the great writing!
This could very well happen today. This could be tomorrow's headline. I think that is what makes this novel so great. I was thrilled with the treatment Israel got. No, they don't ask permission from anyone, they just act. They take care of business. I was irked by the treatment of the David of Goliath story. Downplaying it and it's significance. The authors should have left that alone. That is a foundation for us Jews the miraculous victory of David over Goliath. Otherwise there are plot twists you will never see coming. Judge the book for yourself.
I started reading this series a couple months ago and now completed book three. I am switching back and forth between authors and have many I like. But I think the Tier One series is the best.I can't wait for the book 4. I think reading these are better than watching a similar movie.recommend to anyone who likes action packed novels.
This is the third in the series, and its as hard-hitting as the first two, if not more so. The entire plot is a ticking time bomb ready to explode any second. There is almost no let up, no relief from the mounting tension and pressure. You'll find it almost impossible to put this book down once you start reading it. One of the best espionage series I've ever read. On a level with the likes of Robert Ludlum.
I so enjoyed the first two books in this series, and was eagerly awaiting this third book, and was not disappointed. This series is one that will draw you in from the first page.I have just finished rereading all three books again, and will again sometimes soon. Writing of this quality is not often seen now days.
